5 more weeks to go before my next Sea Otter Photo Tour on December 13th. If you’re on the fence whether you should attend or not… take the plunge. We had a great time the last time this was held. Check out the photos taken by those in attendance in the participants gallery. Photos aside I got a charge personally from seeing everyone so in awe of the wildlife including Sea Otters, Terns, Pelicans, and a
Not isolated to the Zermatt mountains I made new friends and contacts all across Switzerland. Near Gstaad I had a fun encounter with these inquisitive cows enjoying the autumn sun in their meadow. Smiling wasn’t an option. Perhaps I shouldn’t have asked them to say fromage. [tags]Switzerland, Gstaad, goat, alps, mountain, travel, photography, stock photo[/tags]
I’m back after spending two weeks traveling across Switzerland. Along the way I made some new friends including this goat who with the rest of her buddies decided I made for a great high altitude salt lick. Not pictured is a great view of the Matterhorn above Zermatt, Switzerland that I had been taking in at my 7,600 foot resting/lookout spot. While taking in the view a herd of goats off in the distance decided
Its that time of year again here in San Francisco. This weekend is Fleet Week and the Blue Angels will be performing from 3-4 PM on Saturday and Sunday. If you’re in the area and up for a challenging photo opportunity I recommend coming out to see the show. Event details can be found on at fleetweek.us. I call this creative exercise “The Law of Opposites“. If I’m looking in front of me, I’ll check behind me. If I’m looking up, I’ll look down. If I’m looking left, I’ll look right. You get the idea. The r
This months Sea Otter Photo Tour in Monterey was such a success that I’ve opened another for mid-December. Around this time of year it is possible to catch sight of pups. If we’re lucky we might see a couple. Unlike the last tour this one will be on a Saturday and will be a late afternoon – sunset trip. If you missed the last outing (see the highlight photos) be sure to make this one. Sea Otter Ph
The first time I saw a Pronghorn while out in Utah I saw nothing but a dust trail in the desert. Not too surprising considering they’re the fastest land animal in the western hemisphere. From my experience they’re quite skittish and most of the time you’ll see them far off. Recently I caught a lucky break and had a close encounter with a couple of Pronghorn in eastern Utah. One stuck around surprisi
