Having photographed every Mavericks Surf Contest since 2005 I’ve covered most every angle except from a jetski and the water itself. Mavericks is always a spectacle to witness, but in 2005 no one had a better view than the Coast Guard. I found it particularly amusing that amid the chaos of the event the Coast Guard found the time to check out the action.
