The results are in for the “Buying Prints from Your Favorite Photographers” blog project. Turn out was decent albeit smaller than I would have hoped. Considering that during the span of this project September 17th to November 8th our economy has been in a meltdown and the attention of many has been consumed by the recent U.S. Presidential election… it could have been worse. For those that opted out
Back in mid-September I first announced my latest blog photo project “Buying Prints from Your Favorite Photographers“. I have to admit that I was really stoked to kick this project off and was eager to find great artwork by photographers I respect and want to support. Well the task was tough and not for the reasons you’d expect. There are so many great photographers out there that I had a tough time
5 more weeks to go before my next Sea Otter Photo Tour on December 13th. If you’re on the fence whether you should attend or not… take the plunge. We had a great time the last time this was held. Check out the photos taken by those in attendance in the participants gallery. Photos aside I got a charge personally from seeing everyone so in awe of the wildlife including Sea Otters, Terns, Pelicans, and a

Election day is one of the most energized days of the year particularly when a U.S. President is being elected. As record crowds turn out and hype grows through out the day it’ll be very tempting for photographers to want to get out and document election day in their community. If you hear the call of the siren to do so be aware of the laws in your state. In California where I live there are very strict laws re
The 22nd episode of EXIF and Beyond has been released (duration 42 min. 59 sec.). When political satire is made with a Photoshopped alteration of a photoraph and virally spread on the Internet is it individual commentary or copyright infringements? In the 2008 U.S. Presidential election no photo has spread faster than the Sarah Palin bikini and gun photo. The creator of this photograph is interviewed in this episode
As with last years Halloween photos of my dogs (AKA photo assistants) my wife picked out outfits as a surprise and assigned me to creatively capture them reflecting their very own unique personalities.
