In mid-December I made a 1-day pit stop to Yosemite and took very few photos. This photo of Half Dome’s reflection in the cold Merced River water was one of the few taken. I like this photo for two reasons. First the lighting on Half Dome… the otherwise gray formation takes on a completely different look at sunset. Another perspective of California Oaks in the fog. This was taken the same day as Oaks In The Fog and Oaks In The Fog II. I think this may be my favorite of the trio. I know this won’t appeal to many as a front and center show piece, but I like the subtlety of the scene. Perhaps this is destined for stock photography, but I have hopes that this will appeal to those with an eye for fine art photography as well.

Yesterday Dave Winer announced the release of FlickerFan. FlickrFan (see FlickrFan.org for product details) enables Flickr users with a MacMini connected to their TV to display photography from their Flickr Contacts. This automatic feed is actually very cool and the type of use is a really nice way of displaying some great photography in a larger format.
