This photo was taken from the Tunnel View lookout, but unlike many of the traditional wide angle views of Yosemite valley I opted for a super-telephoto lens at a focal length of 1200mm (600mm+2x TC). I was very lucky on this evening, not only was their rich red light on Half Dome as the last light of the day filtered through the atmosphere, but low lying clouds were wafting through as well. I’ve taken my fair share of photos of Yosemite valley, but this is the first I’ve attempted taking in Infrared (IR). This was taken just before sunset as the last of a snow storm was clearing through the valley. Photographs will be forthcoming in the coming days, but I had to share that seeing fresh snow in Yosemite valley
