Below is my final set of images from my time at the Lands End Labyrinth last Tuesday. My favorite photo is below, but I invite you to explore my other photos of the evenings that were not included in my previous post, Lands End Labyrinth Luminaries. Enjoy! Amazing how time flies, it seems like only yesterday that I found Lands End Labyrinth on a scenic outlook overlooking the Golden Gate bridge back in 2004. I stumbled across the labyrinth while walking with my wife just off the Land’s End trail near Mile Rock Beach and later wrote about it, pre-blog, on my web site (see San Francisco Labyrinths). This weekend is Fleet Week here in San Francisco and that means the Blue Angels are performing. If you’re in the San Francisco bay area today you’ll likely hear them buzzing around. If you’re heading out to photograph them this weekend be sure to read my popular post 10 Essential Tips To Get Great Blue Angels Photos. To get your creative juices flowing here are a few photos from last years event. Ph
Two of the most photogenic nature icons in San Francisco are the fog and Monterey Pine trees. Shaped by the wind Monterey Pines have a rugged appearance and texture. Last years photowalk through North Beach was a lot of fun with lots of great photos taken, but this year I’m going to be sharing a favorite spot of mine… Sutro Baths and Lands End. We’ll be meeting in front of Louis’, a small
This weekend was one of my favorite local events here in San Francisco, Bring Your Own Big Wheel (aka BYOBW). This year conditions were treacherous with heavy rain. The weather didn’t deter anyone from strapping on their costumes, straddling a tricycle meant for a small child and taking life and limb into their own hands as they descended down one of San Francisco’s curviest streets. Below is one of my fa
Recently I had an opportunity to spend some time using the Canon 800mm f/5.6 lens via BorrowLenses.com and had a blast capturing some nature and travel photos in the San Francisco bay area. Below is a video review of the lens with some example photos from my limited time with the lens. The review is not tech heavy and deals with the practical use of the lens. Overall the lens was a dream to use. I only wish the weath
