    Wow, I really like that jacket close up. That isn’t something you see everyday. Very graphic design feel to it.

    Awesome shot of the F-18 skimming the water! We were on a boat at the west end of the zone cleared by the Coast Guard. I lost track of #5 until he was nearly touching the mast on our catamaran. The scene was of sheer power and adrenaline, and you did an excellent job of capturing it!

    I especially like the one of the #5 on the edge of the sound barrier. This is something that you don’t see very often…except at SF Fleet Week. With the moisture in the air from the bay, you get some great images as the pilots dance just on this side of Mach.

    Dang Jim, you nailed it. I love fat albert with alcatraz in the background, beautifully crisp. The “men behind the blue angels” is great too, it really reminds me of a classic 50’s shot. Thanks for capturing this for all of us who passed and wish they didn’t now.

    Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment. I had a blast photographing the event. I’m glad I got some decent photos to show for it.

    Tom I never thought about the 50’s quality of that one shot. I think you’re right. 🙂
