Back in July I revisited the Sutro Baths area in the outer Richmond district area of San Francisco (see Sutro Baths Sunset). This particular photo was one of the first taken once I stepped out of my car. It just goes to show you don’t have to go very far in San Francisco to find an amazing scenic view. I should note the highlight of the outing was returning to my car a few hours later to find only one car in the parking lot, next to mine of course, with the occupants having sex inside. Clearly the area isn’t just for photography.

I should be out that way next year some time. I’m really going to have to check this place out. Your images are breathtaking.
And I’m sure you were trying your hardest to not look inside the car as well… 🙂 It’s quite a big parking lot, interesting choice of location.
Is the vegetation still fenced off, or are the trails back open again where you took this image?
Richard I didn’t see any fencing at the time and I’m sure there isn’t at the moment… at least from what I remember.
