As I’m sure many of you can relate, some weeks can be tougher than others. This was a tough week and I’m in blogging withdrawal. With so much to do and so little time to share this week I’ve been left a bit frustrated. With some luck this coming week will allow me to get back to the level of blogging I’m used to. In the meantime I wanted to make sure you knew I was still around and kicking.
Photographed below is a mountain goat (Oreamnos americanus) sharing how hard his week was at Glacier National Park. Well… maybe not. Actually this mountain goat was enjoying an evening meal with in a stones throw of me, while I was photographing some time-lapse sequences at Logan Pass. Mountain goat are fascinating creatures. They’re incredibly muscular, agile and some might say funny looking. But when you see them scurry up an incredibly steep and rugged terrain you start to see how graceful they are. Another instance of nature making it unwise to judge a book by its cover.
blah
I think you make a good point about them being somewhat awkward when they’re our of context or out of their element, but once they’re on the side of a mountain, it’s all grace and precision. It’s like seeing Hakeem Olajuwon in a suit; he’s seven feet tall, and it doesn’t look right; but once he’s on the court, it was all elegance and efficiency. Thanks for sharing. I thoroughly enjoy your work.
