Yosemite National Park is a sight to see in the Spring. The scenery is of course stunning with full waterfalls, iconic formations and a good deal of wildlife. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Yosemite in the Spring primarily due to the crowds. I broke my streak of avoiding the valley during peak time and it was amazing even with late rains that bookended my short trip. Its no wonder that the park gets busier and busier. I’m reviewing my photos from this week now, but I thought I’d share a few photos from my iPhone in the meantime. Enjoy!

Looks like a great trip, Jim. That bear looks pretty big.
Black bears aren’t that big. Granted they’re bigger than a dog, but not like a Brown bear. When I drive in Yosemite I am on the constant look out for roadside wildlife. Most are not and if I had not stopped the two cars behind me would have blown by. I tried to let them know of the bears presence, but they were so caught up in getting from A to B they zoomed around me only realizing after passing that there was a bear and tried to back up… then gave up and left in a rush.
It is so beautiful in Yosemite during the spring, but have yet to see a bear… Where did you see the bear with her two cubs? Adorable! Lovely photos… I think I will have to try and get up there when my daughter starts spring break in two weeks (along with everyone else)…
If people are not going to enjoy the beauty of nature, then they don’t belong there! Sorry, but that is just how I felt after reading your reply to Richard…
With your skills, Jim, you could make Yosemite look enticing even if the only camera you had was a match box with a pin hole in it! Isn’t it fun to document and scout out possible photo ops with a cell phone camera…and upload them to friends and family so they can track your wanderings?
