This photo could sum up the past couple of weeks nicely. Life has been coming at me fast and furious as of late. Taxes, a variety of projects and recently my dog Moe (dressed as Batdog) having some unexplained seizures. All is well with Moe fortunately, but I’m keeping an eye on him. Other than being severely sleep deprived staying up with him late at night… we’re both faring well. The same could be said of my wife and I regarding our tax prep 🙂 The joy of tax season. The upside to all this mayhem is that I have been eeking out some progress to some photo projects. Now that the recent ‘storm’ of events is passing I can resume getting out some over due reviews and articles on the blog.
The above photo is a digital panoramic composed of 6 photos. This was taken last night as a rainstorm was moving east over downtown San Francisco. Photo details are as follows: Canon 1Ds Mark III, 70mm, f/13, 2 sec., ISO 1600

Did you shoot without a tripod. Great stitching!

Nice. So you found shelter from the storm! Where is the image headed (distribution?)
Very cool Jim. I like how the clouds reflect those city lights.
Jim,
Very glad your storm period is finally clearing. I know from own experiences, especially my most recent one, that sometimes you just need to bunker down and weather the hardest times. Sometimes you can turn into the rain and wind and plow forward as needed, and at others you just want to run and find the nearest shelter and wait for the storm to pass.
Am looking forward to seeing what new stuff you’ll be doing, now that Spring is springing and the storms are passing.
Cheers,
– Gary.
PS: Remember, at least you can hold a camera; I can’t. 🙁
@Matt I always shoot with a tripod. I take that for granted. I should have stated that in the image info. Thanks for the comment and question.

@David Sanger Through my normal stock outlets and through my site. I need to expand my horizons still on that front. Any recommendations?

@Richard Same. I thought the light bouncing off the clouds was pretty cool.

@Gary Thanks Gary. I hope you make the most of your situation. Turning lemons into lemonade is an art form in itself!
