I caught wind of Jiar Grafikfiti Lightstrom video on YouTube recently and was really impressed. I’ve seen this done before but not in such a creative and well executed fashion. About three years ago I did something along these lines for my then girlfriend (now wife) with a romantic message. It was pretty amateurish compared to this.
Check out the Jiar Grafikfiti web site and Lichtfaktor Flickr page if this floats your boat.

I love their lightpainting work. It’s way beyond what I tried when I experimented with it as well.
I think Sprint is using it in their latest commercial: http://jamesyu.org/2007/07/04/light-painting-sprint-commercial/
But check this out: This is taking it to a whole new level: http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2007/07/voila-create-yo.html
Ernst… exceptionally cool find with the furniture and instant prototyping. I saw the Sprint ad a few days before posting this but I couldn’t find it to include in this post. Thanks for pointing it out. I’m still far more impressed with Jiar’s work. That could just be because I’m a sucker for the light dog on a leash.
Wow, that furniture prototyping is pretty awesome. The chair and table just looks so whimsical.
James I thought the same thing. They look like cartoon furniture.
Beautifully done. Bumped into these guys last week randomly while they were in London filming a new video (graffiti-ing Big Ben – love it!) and am now addicted, tho haven’t quite got the patience for stop motion yet…
this is the london video that’s just gone up.
