Today on the Flickr Blog it’s been announced that the slideshow function has been updated.
Announcing Slideshow 2007 (Web User Edition) – Flickr Blog
I’m interested to see this in action in more than one way. For one it will be nice to see this applied on the Flickr site and it will be neat to see how it may be employed via the Flickr API.
In looking at my Flickr site this change is in effect as of now. Nice. Check it out on my most interesting set.
Initial thoughts…. I particularly like the minimalist black with grey text. With this style you really could reference it on any site with out the glaring blue and pink Flickr branding. I also like the sleak title/description that appears when you click on the displayed image. The slideshow loads quickly and is glaringly easy to navigate.

What’s really cool is embedding the slideshow in your blog post. Check out what I did here: http://inphotos.org/bloggable-flickr-slideshow/
I really like my Street photography slideshow 🙂
Nice!
